
Dr. Qiang Cao is a professor of acupuncture and Oriental medicine at Bastyr University. Dr. Qiang Cao graduated from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which is the one of finest TCM medical school in China. He was selected as the top graduate working at the Shanghai Longhua University Hospital, one of the biggest TCM hospitals in China. As TCM physician, Dr. Qiang Cao practiced, taught and researched acupuncture and Chinese botanical medicine for over 10 years in China.
Dr. Qiang Cao came to Seattle to study Western natural medicine in 1987. He not only has successfully finished his doctorate degree in Naturopathic medicine, but also played a key role as co-founder for the acupuncture program at Bastyr University. Dr. Qiang Cao has been teaching and supervising acupuncture and Chinese herbs at Bastyr University for 20 years.
Dr. Qiang Cao has broad knowledge in both Eastern and Western medicine. He has excellent skills in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and Chinese nutrition. He provides a Western-style medical assessment in combination with traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis. He uses a holistic approach, treating with acupuncture, Chinese herbs and dietary suggestions.
