About the doctors
Tifani Chang
DAc, L.Ac
Dr. Tifani Chang graduated from Bastyr University with her Master and Doctorate degree in Acupuncture, and she is a national board certified acupuncturist by the NCCAOM (National Commission for the Certificate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). After years of experience in the Western medical field, she saw the limitations of the medicine and heard the frustrations of her patients’ unanswered questions. She chose to immerse herself in alternative medicine and looked to Traditional Chinese Medicine that had existed for more than three thousand years. She is a proud provider of the millennia old medicine that continues to be largely influential in today’s modern world.
During her doctorate degree, Dr. Chang spent time treating patients in Harborview Medical Trauma Center, where she provided care to patients in their exam rooms and saw cases from extreme physical trauma to unstable chronic conditions. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages and backgrounds, especially complicated cases that have not been controlled by other conventional medicines. Not only is Dr. Chang skilled at providing pain management for acute and chronic conditions, but she is also interested in psychoemotional and digestive health because she knows the body is not separated from the mind, but rather seen as one entity. She advocates for integrative medicine, where providers work in collaboration with each other and offer holistic functional medicine to the patients. This means that she honors and welcomes all medicines of the old and new as well as any other therapies that the patient may choose to include in their care while seeking Acupuncture treatments.
Dr. Chang is a lover of all nature and art. You can find her exploring the Pacific Northwest and throughout the world, from hiking to snowboarding and foraging for mushrooms. She enjoys watercolor and oil painting in her spare time and has her works displayed throughout the greater Seattle area.
